Sławek Kazan – Polonia Bard of Polish songs. He composes music, writes song lyrics and performs them himself. Since the 1980s, he has been known to the Polish community in Sydney by taking part in Polish events. Sławek Kazan took part in a competition on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of Tadeusz Kościuszko’s birth. His ballad about Mount Kosciuszko, “Śladami Strzeleckiego” (“In the footsteps of Strzelecki”), was recognised and awarded by Kosciuszko Heritage and the Consulate of the Republic of Poland in Sydney.
