Kapela Polska is a 7-person vocal-instrumental ensemble founded in 2020 under the musical direction of Jurek Scisłowski and vocalist Dorota Banasiak. The band’s dynamic lineup consists of some of the best Polish musicians in Sydney. Their performances of the favourite and most famous Polish songs, as well as internationally popular music, are characterized by a specific sound with inflections of Slavic, French, Gypsy, Latin and celebratory music. In the musical arrangements of the ensemble, the natural sound of live instruments and voices is exposed, among others. Parisian accordions, emotional violins, thrilling bongos to tango and beautiful vocal harmonies.
