Polish Tapestry of Life: Finding Love

The largest and longest-running Polish cultural festival outside Poland, PolArt, returns to Sydney this December after 19 years touring other Australian Capital cities. For over 45 years, PolArt Festivals have been celebrating Polish culture and heritage through art, dance, music, theatre, and literature.
The celebration of life and love through music and dance has always been a constant anchor throughout Poland. Shaped by climate, trade, history, and cultural influences, every region in Poland developed its own flavour in celebrating major rites of passage and finding love. Whilst the styles of music, clothing, and dance differ between regions, or even villages, the exuberance of life, joy and happiness is always palpable.
In this concert, audiences will experience a bride’s last moments at home, rituals surrounding St John’s Eve, and discovery of love (many times) amongst many other surprises sourced from vibrant and colorful regions across Poland.
