4 OCTOBER 2021 – POLART SYDNEY 2022 IS COMING 27 DECEMBER 2022

PolArt Sydney 2022 is coming 27 December 2022

Greetings all participants!

With only 15 months to go until Sydney PolArt 2022 I would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your continued support and to assure you that Sydney PolArt 2022 is going ahead!

The past 1.5 years have been challenging, but it has also shown us how resilient our community is – adapting to change and making the best of a difficult situation. The committee is continuously working hard to ensure that we present the most amazing and memorable festival for you when you arrive in late December 2022.

It is with great pleasure that we have received confirmation from more than 800 participants since opening our Expressions of Interest in February. We are looking forward to welcoming 18 Folkloric Dance Ensembles – a festival record – and we await with pleasure further Expressions of Interest for the disciplines of Literature, Music, Theatre and Visual Arts. With more than 80 events planned to take place between the 27th December 2022 and 6th January 2023 there will be many exciting events for you all to partake in.

Festival information will be forthcoming in the next few months. In the meantime, I would like to introduce Joanna Borysewicz as the Performing Arts Liaison Officer. Joanna will be your main point of contact with respect to accommodation and transport and much more. She is looking forward to touching base with you all soon.

COVID-19 has changed the world as we know it and affected us all personally, professionally and within our community groups in ways that we could never have anticipated. PolArt is no different, there are many ways you can help to bring this festival to fruition:

• Like us on social media, both Instagram and Facebook
• Encourage all your members, friends and family to engage in PolArt social media posts
• Send us all your past PolArt memories – image, stories, tickets, booklets, memorabilia via our Contact Us page
• Spare a few dollars and make a tax-deductible donation via our Contribute page

I am aware that many groups and individual artists are preparing for the festival under difficult circumstances, and I would like to commend you on your dedication to your craft. I am forever grateful to be able to work alongside so many committed performing and visual artists, and to present to an Australian audience the best of Polish culture.

I look forward to seeing you all in December 2022.

Take care and stay safe.
